Environmental regulations are like the skinny nerd from grade school: They get picked on, beat up and called rude names: Tree-Hugger. Eco-Nazi. And perhaps worst of all, Job Killer.
But how accurate are those statements? There's a compelling argument to be made that environmental regulations are in fact job creators, since many thousands of people work in industries like environmental engineering, green energy and other sustainable businesses.
Watch out for environmental regs: Like the skinny nerd from grade school, they may soon grow up to be the big, fat, rich guy who gets the girl, the bucks and the really good parking space.
