A Greener Font Choice
There's always a way to make something greener. It's just a matter of thinking outside the conventional box.
And if you thought doing things online was a good way to limit your need for printer ink, then just wait until you hear about a new font created by SPRANQ. (By the way, yes, doing things on the computer instead of printing documents out is a good green habit. Kudos to you.)
As it turns out, there's not really a need for filling in your letters completely. In fact, the new 'Swiss Cheese font' out by SPRANQ proves that theory by cutting color from each letter. They cut so much black ink (without you seeing it) that it can cut your toner usage by up to 20%.
The catch? Unfortunately the font isn't ideal for all printer types but it will still help. The printers that will see the biggest improvement in their toner usage are high resolution printers like AppleWorks, MS Office 2007 and OpenOffice.
