Hydrogen Cars Hit the Open Road (Kind of)

As it turns out, cars that run off hydrogen power aren’t really that far ahead in our futures: at least, not decades ahead. Actually, in due time (say, a month from now) hydrogen cars will be driving right along side our hybrids, electric cars, and old-school gas hogs. That is, if you live in New York.
New York is just one of the three major cities across the country that General Motors will be releasing 100 Chevrolet Equinox’s for three-month ‘test drives.’ Other cities the Equinox will be tested in are Los Angeles and Washington D.C.
As cool as it will be to see new technology actually tested out on the open road, most of us won’t get to try one for ourselves for at least another few years. Sigh. If you want to make the most of what you have now, startcutting your car’s carbon emissions. At least you can still drive somewhat eco-friendly until you get your hands on your dream hydrogen-powered car!
